KEEPING MY RIDING GEAR IN THE BEST CONDITION 😌

I LOVE MY EQUIPMENT, I TAKE CARE OF IT, I STORE IT WELL! ✨

We are not unaware that we tend to have a lot of equipment in the world of horseback riding, as our sport is (very) demanding in equipment. Our goal is to keep it for as long as possible, taking care of it is essential, but storing it properly is just as important! We will ensure to isolate it from temperature changes, but also from dust (often omnipresent in stables)!

1. I store my boots

A boot bag is essential to maintain the beauty and quality of the leather. Moreover, the handles they come with allow for optimized transport! In the photo below, the Rioja boot bag by LeMieux even offers double storage with a dedicated pocket for the helmet 💫

2. I store my saddle

Here you have plenty of choices! It's up to you to see which option is right for you based on the "movements" you impose on your saddle! Let me explain: if it tends to stay in the stables, in a closed locker, then a simple cover will suffice! However, if you tend to regularly go to competitions, outings, etc., then don't hesitate to opt for more complete protection with a fully closed bag, or even one that transforms into a backpack like the model "Backpack for saddle" from Équithème illustrated right here:

3. I store my bridle(s)

We think about it less often... And yet! The bridle is directly in contact with the head of our horse and deserves all our attention! The bags contain a hook to attach the bridle and help maintain a constant temperature which is not negligible for leather. Below, the Kentucky bridle bag, ready to go to a competition!

4. I store my helmet

Particularly important in practicing our sport: wearing a helmet is mandatory so let's make sure it is pleasant! Nothing better than putting on a helmet that is not covered in dust 💨 The gesture is easy to adopt and will help us keep our number 1 safety tool looking like new ✨ Below is a photo of the sac from Antarès 🤗

5. I store my stirrups

If you tend to bang your stirrups everywhere when transporting them because (like me) you always have eyes bigger than your stomach trying to carry too much equipment at once... Or if you want to slide them up your stirrup leathers without scratching your saddles? Then, stirrup covers will be perfect for you! On our side, a true favorite for the new covers Oxxer monogram because they are waterproof, fleece, and stylish!

6. I store my pads

Because YES we are all pad addicts and we must return to them the happiness and fascination they inspire in us 🤩 You can slide between 3 and 5 pads in the bag to keep them clean and transport them easily! On our side, we opted for the navy saddle bag from Kentucky that follows us everywhere during our shootings across France 🇫🇷

7. I store my blankets

When it comes to storage, blankets can be very (too) bulky! Storing them separately in suitable bags can be THE solution! Thus, at the end of winter, we give our duvets a good clean, and then we store them in their dedicated bags until next year, like here with the blanket bag from Equithème ❤️
