Comment lutter contre le Cyber-harcèlement ? 💻

How to fight against Cyberbullying? 💻

For this International Women's Rights Day, 💗 we wanted to talk about a subject that is particularly close to our hearts for this day: cyberbullying. 🤳

In the equestrian world, we are fortunate to be able to follow day by day on social media 📱 the adventures of young girls, young women and adults 👩‍💻 who share their daily life at home with their horses. 🐴  Unfortunately, following certain posts or situations, we also witness in some cases a large number of messages, 💬 sometimes harmless, sometimes very harsh… And often, amidst the wave of positive comments, it is these last ones that will leave the most impact. 😪

What is cyberbullying? 🤔

Today we no longer talk about harassment but about “cyberbullying”! With the arrival of the internet 🌐, harassments can circulate 🔄 more and more quickly and unfortunately without being able to control it afterwards.

Phone, internet, SMS, Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, … It is so much easier to hide behind a screen and a pseudonym to insult 🗯 people, write malicious comments 💬 on a photo or take images 📸  without the knowledge of a person.

Too often, harassers have no idea of the impact that harassment can have on the victims who suffer in silence. 🤐

How to fight against it? 💪

It should be known that we can all act! Indeed, harassment is based on a relationship of three: the victim, the harasser, and witnesses who too often remain silent… So be very careful ⚠️ about the content you can share on the internet and if you are a witness of harassment, do not hesitate to offer help to this person or talk to an adult.

Who to call to discuss it? 📞 💬

It can sometimes be difficult to confide in someone close about the harassment we are victims of. You can then choose to call 3018. ☎️ It is a free assistance number, anonymous and confidential. It is accessible by phone 📆 6 days a week🕦 from 9 AM to 8 PM,  on 3018.fr via Live Chat, Messenger and WhatsApp. People are available to 👂 listen to you, help you, advise you and support you facing digital dangers.

The government also proposes a reporting site for illegal behaviors or content: www.internet-signalement.gouv.fr/
