You see her everywhere in our photos and videos, and for some of you, you already know her name: Dolce.
But who is this pretty mare?!
Her real name is Dolce EDS, this adorable 6-year-old mare, about 1m67 tall, has been part of the family for 3 years now. Bought from the pasture at the end of her 3 years by Geoffrey, this daughter of Kannan and granddaughter of Experio is the true princess of our little tribe.
7 facts to know about Dodol...
1) She loves to be pampered
She welcomes anyone who approaches her stall with a little snort, looking for treats
2) She loves naps
Forget about photoshoots during lunchtime, the princess sleeps soundly in her stall. You can spend hours cuddling and massaging her while she lies down, after 10 minutes by your side, I assure you, you won’t want to get her up. Too bad for the planned carpet photoshoots, that will have to wait until next time!
3) She doesn’t touch her Likit
While all the other horses generally dive into their Likit, Dodol is the only one who doesn’t like it. Despite various tests, she doesn’t touch it but devours all the HDCP candies instead.
To each their own tastes!
4) She is a sweetheart in hand and a lion on the track!
A true shetland in hand, she transforms once mounted. Very respectful and eager to please, she always tries her best once on the track. Having started competitions last season, she finished 17 times without faults in her 20 outings.
5) She loves the beach
Already sent for a week of hydrotherapy on the beach, she metamorphoses on the beach and loves to gallop along the water.
6) She has atypical markings
Without any markings on her head, Dolce does have somewhat special markings on her hind legs, showing small black spots in the markings and with two spots at the back of her fetlocks.
7) The perfect model
Always very attentive, she is the easiest to photograph in the stables. Ears always forward, completely still, patient, cuddly. She could be photographed for hours without flinching.
