But no, we are not crazy about him. We just find him particularly beautiful! Some of you may be starting to know him well, but certainly not all the little aspects of the personality of our 5-year-old stallion: Eclair.
But who is this little bombshell with the blue eye?
Carrying the Rouhet prefix, Eclair was born just a few kilometers from Bertrand's place. Put to work at 4 years old in the stables, we fell under the charm of this pretty chestnut with big white socks from the very first photos.
4 facts to know about Eclair...
1) JUST LIKE DOLCE, HE LOVES NAPS
Be careful not to pass by the stables around 1 PM/2 PM. He spends most of his time sleeping. We have lost count of the countless videos of him snoring in his box!
2) A TRUE COVERING KILLER
We must admit that we like to provide maximum comfort to our horses, especially in their boxes, and we enjoyed offering them beautiful blankets. That was before Eclair came along...
A true serial killer of blankets of all brands, he could have been sold to any brand wishing to conduct a crash test on blankets. Not one would have survived Eclair's bites!
After mourning the loss of 5 or 6 blankets, we opted for another solution: The Crib Stop.
3) THE DEVILISH MODEL
If Dolce is a sweetheart to photograph, Eclair is his opposite. A bit fidgety, wanting to nibble on every hand, he is definitely less easy to photograph than his little buddies. A bit silly for such a pretty model!
You might understand better why there are so many photos of him taken in the box... ahahah!
4) HE ONLY HAS ONE BLUE EYE AND NOT TWO
Although he is most often presented from the left side, Eclair has a true Poker Face, since he only has one blue eye and not two. This gives him two very different profiles. As always with odd-eyed horses, some love it and others are sometimes surprised.
5) SOON TO BE DAD
Having been collected in Saint Lo last winter, he will see his first foals born as soon as next year. We will even have the chance to have one of his foals at the beginning of 2020 with one of our beloved mares, Maria <3
